 T.W. Hunter Registration Dates 2019-2020

 

Wednesday, July 24, 2019 - New Student Registration

Location: T.W. Hunter Middle

Time: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

- New student registration is for students not currently enrolled in Sumner County Schools.  Rising 6th graders from BES, MCE, or SCE do not need to attend.

Required paperwork to bring is listed below. 

 

Monday, July 29th - 6th Grade "Buc-N-Roll" Night

Location: T.W. Hunter Middle

Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

- This registration day is for all incoming 6th grade students.  You will complete paperwork for 2018-2019 school registration on this night. 

- Required paperwork to bring is listed below. 

- Students will receive their school ID card, checkout textbooks, view their class schedule, and receive their locker assignment.  Students may also purchase a combination lock (for their locker) for $6.00.  Locks are optional, but must be purchased from T.W. Hunter if used.

- Students will take their fall pictures, so please ensure your child is in compliance with the Sumner County Schools dress code.

 

Tuesday, July 30th  - 7th and 8th Grade "Buc-N-Roll"  Night

 Location: T.W. Hunter Middle

Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

- This registration day is for all incoming 7th and 8th grade students.  You will complete paperwork for 2018-2019 school registration on this night. 

Required paperwork to bring is listed below. 

- Students will receive their school ID card, checkout textbooks, view their class schedule, and receive their locker assignment.  

- Students will take their fall pictures, so please ensure your child is in compliance with the Sumner County Schools dress code.


In order to successfully complete registration at T. W. Hunter Middle School, the following documents must be presented at the time of registration by all students: 

1)  Birth Certificate - For new students to TWH, please bring a copy of your birth certificate.

2) Three Proofs of Residence (examples include: voter registration card, contract on a house, lease agreement, utility bill, property tax receipt, etc.)

3) Custodial Papers if parents are divorced or a change in custody has occurred.

4) If your child receives special educational services we encourage you to bring a copy of the student’s IEP or 504 Plan.

5) 7th Graders are required to have updated TDAP records according to TN state law before they begin their 7th grade year.  Please see your primary care physician or the Sumner Co. Health Department. 

 

For students coming from another school system, state, or a private school:

1) A Tennessee Health Card (immunization record) which can be obtained from the Sumner County Health Department, 351 New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, TN

2) Previous state test scores and/or final year end Report Card from previous school year.
